Accessibility statement
Sample Town, Tennessee wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the standard that applies to state and local government websites under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What we do
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "skip to main content" link.
- Pages use real headings, landmarks and labeled form fields so screen readers can navigate them.
- Text and controls are designed for strong color contrast.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% and pages reflow on phones and tablets without sideways scrolling.
- Motion respects your device's "reduce motion" setting.
Known limitations
- [List anything not yet accessible, e.g. older PDF meeting minutes. Remove this line if none.]
